I teach different styles of Yoga, carefully curated to suit people of all ages and sexual orientations, keeping in mind individual health concerns, goals and requirements.
I am constantly in pursuit of my yoga education, adding more knowledge and certifications to keep becoming better at what I do and have to offer. Pick your style, pull out your mat and let’s get started!
A rigorous Ashtanga practice helps one build strength of mind and body. It was popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois in the 1900s and is the modern-day face of classical Indian Yoga. This routine is practiced through its primary and secondary series of powerful and challenging poses.
This is a routine wherein a number of yoga poses are strung together to form a sequence. This 'Flow' can be enhanced through a breathing pattern and can be both gentle and slow or hardcore and fast paced.
Using props like weights, resistance bands, wheel, blocks or stick intensifies a yoga routine, sculpting / toning the muscles and creates a more targeted workout.
This is a soft, slow paced routine that is aimed at gently stretching out the body. The poses are relaxed and passive which help to restore and repair the body, making the mind feel calm and centred.
Certified as a Trauma Informed Yoga (TIY) teacher, I use Yoga as a supplementary support technique for people diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). These are specially curated sessions that help PTSD patients feel calm, comfortable and provide techniques in a safe space to help them manage their symptoms.
Please note : I do not provide counselling or psychiatric assistance. I use Yoga only as a secondary therapy. Please consult a mental health professional before starting your TIY practice.
